All three incumbents in the Pflugerville school board races have the lead after early voting, but one contest is extremely close.

Mott, a retired teacher, is running for her seventh term in Place 4 against Corbin Black, a 32-year-old software engineer. Mott has 67% of the early vote, or 2,217 votes, to Black’s 1,113.

Allen, 51, a human resources director, is running for his second term in Place 5 against Alissa Molina, a 44-year-old founder of a nonprofit media organization. After the early votes were counted, Allen had 1,657 votes to Molina’s 1,655. The extra two votes for Allen came from Williamson County voters.
